I have several of these in my flock at Polaris Farm. They produce cream-colored eggs for my egg packs.
The Delaware is a good forager when free-ranging, healthy, and self-sufficient.
They are docile, easy to manage, and are very winter-hardy.
I highly recommend them as not only a layer but also as a meat chicken. Delawares are a true dual-purpose chicken.
